We are developing a new WoG add-on called “Horn of the Abyss” (based on the Wake of Gods). In this add-on we are going to include plenty of new monsters, artifacts, spells and map objects, and (what is most important) we will add three new towns: Cove, Kronwerk, Cathedral.
We are going to finish our work approximately by winter 2008-2009
The HotA project was organized by a group of freelance developers and has no commercial interest. The first concept of the add-on was formed in 2007, but active work on the development of this add-on started only in March 2008. The main target of this add-on is to improve the Heroes 3.5 WoG basis and to create an improved and a high-grade new version of the game.
We want to drive your attention to the fact that the majority of our team members have a positive attitude to other projects regarding the developing the HoMM WoG game such as: CoreWog team, all new towns, Phoenix-Mod, Two Islands project, the commercial project REKVIZIT and the others.
Our target is not to create the long-awaited 3.59 version (and we are not going to do it), but to create a new high-grade add-on that will combine lots of new ideas and will exclude plenty of bugs and defects (including the improved graphics) which were made while the WoG was created.
